The Better Business Bureau of the Southwest serves the state of New Mexico and Archuleta, Delta, Dolores, La Plata, Mesa, Montezuma, Montrose, Ouray, San Juan and San Miguel counties in southwest Colorado.
With a business membership of over 4,700, this Bureau serves consumers and members from three offices within its service area, which are staffed by skilled, experienced employees. Services to the public include issuing reliability reports on businesses, working to resolve customer complaints against businesses, Lemon Law arbitration through the Bureau's AutoLine program, arbitration of business-customer disputes through the Bureau's Business Arbitration program and review of advertising as measured against Bureau standards for truth in advertising.

This department accepts consumer complaints and presents them to the business for response. The consumer is kept informed of the progress of the complaint and receives the company's response, which the consumer can accept or refute. Consumers may also request Reliability Reports on companies in our service area, using our Customer Service Operators for this service.
